Lliana Bird

Lliana Bird is a writer, film maker, radio DJ and co-founder of charity Choose Love. She started out as a radio DJ, and today holds the record as the longest standing female DJ on Xfm/Radio X (after 16 years on air). Lliana has created and presented over 100 podcast episodes of Geek Chic’s Weird Science, and three series of female-led podcast Get It Off Your Br**sts. Lliana has more recently written and co-directed two short films, including the multi award-winning ‘Snapshots’ which starred Paul Kaye and Mark Benton.

As the co-founder of Choose Love, Lliana has been awarded various accolades, including being named as Foreign Policy’s Top 100 Thinkers, and being selected as one of NESTA’s New Radicals. She also hosted the London Peace Talks. Today Lliana works as a writer of children’s books and as a film maker. Lliana lives in London with her partner Noel and their two children.
